The 15th Annual Meeting of Deputy Foreign Ministers of Central Asian States

On November 28, 2025, Almaty hosted the 15th Meeting of Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Central Asia. The event was organized by Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs with support from the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), the MFA of Turkmenistan reports.

Deputy foreign ministers of the Central Asian countries, as well as representatives from the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan, the UN Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, and UNRCCA, participated in the gathering.

Turkmenistan was represented by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Kazakhstan, B. Rejepov. In his remarks, the Ambassador highlighted Turkmenistan’s active engagement in global initiatives aimed at ensuring security, sustainable development, and regional partnership. He stressed that the country’s foreign policy relies on the principles of permanent neutrality, recognized internationally and reflected in UN General Assembly resolutions.

Participants exchanged views on key regional and global issues and outlined prospects for enhancing interaction within Central Asia. Discussions included cooperation in trade, economy, transport corridors, water and energy matters, and climate-related challenges.

The sides also reviewed current developments affecting regional peace and stability. It was underlined that such meetings are essential for responding promptly to emerging risks and coordinating joint actions in a rapidly changing environment.
