On April 21, 2026, the international scientific conference titled “Independence of Turkmenistan: The Triumph of Science and Innovative Technologies” was held in Turkmenistan. The conference took place in the conference hall of the International Scientific and Technology Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan and was attended by both local and foreign experts.
During the session, presentations were delivered on the current state of science and technology, as well as their future development directions. At the opening of the conference, the Director of the International Scientific and Technology Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Doctor of Chemical Sciences Durdymyrat Gadamov, delivered a speech, congratulating the participants and emphasizing the importance of cooperation.
Several foreign specialists also participated in the conference online. Oleg Alexandrin from the Russian Federation spoke about the development of the innovation-driven economy. Zhang Xiao and Xiang Wei from the People’s Republic of China highlighted the opportunities for scientific and technical cooperation and emphasized the importance of joint projects in the field of microbiology.
The issue of the digital economy received special attention. Alexey Soluyanov from Russia presented proposals related to the State Program for the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2026–2028. Gulnara Abisheva from Kazakhstan emphasized the importance of training specialists and expanding expert capacity in this field.
Presentations in the fields of healthcare, information technologies, and the service sector also occupied a significant place in the conference. Representatives from Türkiye, Enkhbaatar Uliibayar and Cem Gözener, exchanged views on the role of digital technologies in healthcare services. Additionally, David Iordanishvili from Georgia highlighted opportunities to expand international cooperation through digital systems.
Energy and industrial sectors were also among the key topics of the conference. Experts from Türkiye — Abdullah Örs, Nedim Baral, Orhan Gün, and Zafer Türkoğlu — spoke about the role of innovative approaches in the oil and gas sector and new methods for the efficient use of raw materials.
During the conference, participants discussed important issues related to the development of scientific and technical cooperation, implementation of new innovative projects, and exchange of experience. In conclusion, it was emphasized that international cooperation plays a crucial role in the scientific and technological development of Turkmenistan.
According to experts, such conferences not only strengthen scientific ties but also open up broad opportunities for economic growth.
