Malaysian Universities Showcase Opportunities at Turkmen Travel 2026, Visit Diller Dünýäsi in Ashgabat
Ashgabat — Representatives of leading Malaysian universities participated in the international exhibition Turkmen Travel 2026, where they presented a dedicated pavilion promoting higher education opportunities and academic services to prospective students from Turkmenistan.
The Malaysian delegation brought together officials from prominent institutions, including Swinburne University of Technology Sarawak Campus, Taylor’s University, INTI International University & Colleges, Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation, Sunway University, and Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, alongside the education services provider SOPANDAI SDN. BHD.. At the exhibition, visitors had the opportunity to explore study programs, scholarship options, and international pathways offered by Malaysian higher education institutions.

In addition to their participation in the exhibition, the delegation visited the “Diller Dünýäsi” Language Center in Ashgabat, where they met with members of the Bahasa Club, as well as students from schools and universities across the city. The visit created a friendly and engaging environment for dialogue, enabling students to learn more about studying in Malaysia and the benefits of multilingual education.
The interaction was marked by lively discussions, questions from students, and shared experiences about language learning and academic mobility. The guests highlighted Malaysia’s growing role as an international education hub and encouraged students to pursue global learning opportunities.

Speaking during the visit, Tajul Ariffin Bin Shamsuddin from Universiti Teknologi Petronas expressed appreciation for the warm welcome and the enthusiasm of Turkmen students:
“It is a great pleasure for us to be in Turkmenistan and to meet such motivated and talented young people. Through our participation in Turkmen Travel 2026 and our visit to Diller Dünýäsi, we hope to open new doors for students and strengthen educational ties between Malaysia and Turkmenistan. We are truly inspired by the strong interest in languages and global opportunities.”
The visit underscored the importance of international cooperation in education and highlighted the role of initiatives like the Bahasa Club in connecting youth with global academic communities. Organizers noted that such exchanges contribute to building lasting partnerships and expanding horizons for the next generation.
