On January 7, 2020, at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, the results of the country’s socio-economic development for 2019 were summed up. Also, during the meeting were discussed tasks for the current year and personnel issues.
One of the decisions taken by the President of Turkmenistan at the meeting was the separation of industrial and transport-communication systems, and the creation of transport-communication and construction-industrial complexes, accountable to vice-prime ministers.
By a decree of the President of Turkmenistan, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Ovezov was assigned the responsibility of overseeing transport and communications. The Deputy Prime Minister was given the responsible task of monitoring the activities of all agencies in this sector, as well as selecting competent personnel and preparing organization projects in Ashgabat and the provinces of IP centers. In this context, Berdimuhamedov announced the allocation of 10 million US dollars for the planned work.
In continuation of the meeting, the head of state instructed Deputy Prime Minister B. Ovezov, together with Deputy Prime Minister P. Agamyradov, at the Academy of Public Administration to organize special classes for leaders of all levels on teaching the digital system, as well as strengthen the training of university teachers and secondary specialized educational institutions of the country.
