During a Cabinet of Ministers meeting held via digital format, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov reviewed preparations for nationwide celebrations marking the 81st anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945. This was reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Mammedov reported on plans for large-scale cultural and social events aimed at honoring the bravery of the nation’s heroes. Across the country, activities will focus on preserving historical memory and promoting the values of peace and humanism.
The program includes scientific conferences on peace initiatives and youth patriotism, thematic discussions on wartime history, musical and cultural performances, art exhibitions, and flower-laying ceremonies at the “Halk hakydasy” Memorial Complex in the capital as well as at monuments of military glory nationwide.
Special attention will also be given to supporting the older generation. Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that caring for war and labor veterans remains a key priority of state policy.
The President of Turkmenistan instructed officials to ensure that ceremonial presentations of holiday gifts to veterans and home-front workers are organized at a high level, emphasizing the importance of honoring their contributions with dignity.
