World Teachers’ Day is held annually on 5 October to celebrate all teachers around the globe. It commemorates the anniversary of the adoption of the 1966 ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers, which sets benchmarks regarding the rights and responsibilities of teachers, and standards for their initial preparation and further education, recruitment, employment, and teaching and learning conditions. «International Teachers Day» provides the occasion to celebrate the teaching profession worldwide and draw attention to the voices of teachers. Teachers Day is an important day for all students to understand the importance of Teachers. A teacher is a friend and a philosopher who guides us in understanding the world around us. From academic knowledge to moral knowledge, a teacher is a treasure trove. A teacher’s contribution to the world is priceless because of the fact that they educate the men and women of tomorrow. A good teacher does so much more than just teach. They inspire, too, and in this era of distance learning and fractured access to education, celebrating teachers who go the extra mile is more important than ever. For a teacher, nothing is better than seeing your students succeed. One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.
