A ceremonial meeting dedicated to the slogan of 2026

A ceremonial meeting dedicated to the slogan of 2026, “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – the Land of Swift and Noble Horses,” was held at the Arkadag city administration. The event aimed to promote the deep symbolic meaning of the slogan and highlight the special role of the Akhal-Teke horse as a national symbol of Turkmenistan, embodying historical continuity, pride, and progress.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Arkadag city administration, the equestrian sector, teachers of the Aba Annayev International Equestrian Academy, honored elders, cultural figures, media representatives, and students. Prior to the meeting, participants viewed an exhibition showcasing the achievements of Arkadag city and artistic works dedicated to the beauty of Akhal-Teke horses, including books authored by the National Leader of the Turkmen people.

Speakers emphasized that the tradition of assigning a slogan to each year, initiated by the National Leader, reflects the nation’s aspirations, unity, and commitment to development. Special attention was drawn to the role of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in declaring the 2026 slogan, linking the country’s future goals with the image of the Akhal-Teke horse.

The speeches highlighted major achievements in the country’s socio-economic development, the growing international recognition of Turkmen equestrian culture, the opening of the International Equestrian Academy in Arkadag, and the global successes of the “Galkynysh” national horse games group. The inclusion of Akhal-Teke horse breeding traditions in UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List was also noted.

The meeting concluded with confidence that 2026 would be a year of major achievements and dynamic progress, symbolized by the swift pace of the legendary Akhal-Teke horse. Participants adopted an official Address to the President of Turkmenistan.
