At the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, on May 6, 2021, creative practical lesson was held aiming to accomplish mission which was given by the President of Turkmenistan about paying special attention to the training of high-ranking journalists as well as the development of principle of tutor-apprenticeship in journalism at a working conference on digital video communication on December 23, 2020, with the participation of Executive Secretary of the “Türkmen Dünýäsi” newspaper Dovran Agaliyev and the students of the Faculty of International Journalism.
During the practical lesson, it was emphasized that young journalists should be grown up with the spirit of patriotism and morality as successful journalists, as well as the necessity of understanding advanced computer technologies and digital systems. Dovran Agaliyev told the young journalists about the work being done in collecting newspaper pages, gathering information for the news, the features of working with news sources, the development of our country through the dissemination of news, the coverage of the policy of our esteemed President in the international media.
The guest also highlighted the importance of developing a tutor-apprenticeship principle in journalism. Expert journalist Dovran Agaliyev also noted that Adobe Indesign requires special skills and experience in editing and page proofing.
At the end of the lesson, the students who participated in it, addressed their questions to the journalists and received valuable advice. This practical lesson has been very effective for students who will become international journalists in the future.
