A Series of International Forums to Be Held in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone in October

The Avaza National Tourist Zone is strengthening its position as one of the important venues for international initiatives held under the auspices of the United Nations. In October 2026, the resort area will host a series of major events covering various areas of regional and international cooperation.

Among the events scheduled for October is the International Women’s Dialogue “The Role of Women in Maintaining Peace and Achieving Sustainable Development.” An international conference titled “Demographic Processes and Sustainable Development: Challenges of the Present and International Experience” will also be held to discuss current demographic trends and international experience in this field.

In addition, the Avaza National Tourist Zone will host a conference of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States dedicated to universal access to healthcare services. The event will provide an opportunity to exchange views on ensuring access to healthcare services and issues related to sustainable development.

Alongside these events, the Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asian countries and the Republic of Azerbaijan and the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS are also scheduled to take place in Avaza in October.

The organization of these major international events at one venue further highlights Avaza’s role not only as a tourist destination, but also as an important platform for political dialogue, international cooperation and discussion of key regional issues.
