Turkmenistan approves State Program for Digital Economy Development through 2028

Turkmenistan has entered a new stage of technological modernization following the approval of the State Program for the Development of the Digital Economy for 2026–2028. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the corresponding resolution, along with an Action Plan outlining the steps for its implementation. This was repoted by Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

The program was drafted in line with the Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2026–2028 and was presented to the Head of State at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet M. Chakyyev.

Aimed at comprehensive transformation across all sectors of the national economy, the program prioritizes the introduction of innovative technologies into production processes, the establishment of a high-tech economic model aligned with international standards, and the broad application of digital systems in public administration.

Implementation of the program has been assigned to all levels of state governance. The President instructed ministries and sectoral agencies, as well as the administrations of the velayats and the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, to ensure the effective execution of the planned measures.
