High-level consultations in the “Central Asia – Russia” format held in Moscow

On January 22, 2026, high-level consultations within the “Central Asia – Russia” format were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Moscow. The meeting focused on the implementation of the Joint Action Plan for 2025–2027. This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen delegation was headed by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan, E. Aydogdyyev. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of the practical implementation of the initiatives put forward by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the second summit of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Russian Federation, which took place in Dushanbe in October 2025.

It was underscored that Turkmenistan supports practical approaches and proposals aimed at strengthening stability, mutual trust, and mutually beneficial cooperation. Particular attention was given to the principles of equality and due consideration of the national interests of all participating states.

During the consultations, the participants discussed possible ways to implement the outcomes of the second Central Asia–Russia Heads of State Summit. It was noted that this could be achieved, among other things, through holding consultations between relevant ministries and other government bodies of the six countries.
