World Expo “EXPO – 2025” Officially Opens in Osaka

On April 13, 2025, the World Expo “EXPO – 2025” officially opened in Osaka, Japan, and will run until October 13, 2025. The central theme of the exhibition is “Designing Future Society for Our Lives”. Its primary objectives are to support the implementation of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and realize Japan’s national strategy “Society 5.0”. This strategy aims to address social challenges and promote economic growth through the use of digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, robotics, big data, and other modern innovations. The event marks a significant step forward for Japan in the fields of technology and human development.
EXPO – 2025 serves as a platform for showcasing cutting-edge technologies, including the Smart Mobility Expo, which features flying vehicles, robotics, enhanced personal mobility solutions, and eco-friendly transportation. Through the Virtual Expo, participants from around the world can join the exhibition remotely. The Digital Expo will highlight the latest advancements in digital technologies, from personal assistants to robotic translation systems and beyond.
Turkmenistan had the honor of celebrating its National Day early in the schedule, among nearly 160 participating countries. The Honorable President of Turkmenistan took part in the official events alongside Japan’s Minister for EXPO – 2025, Yoshitaka Ito. Guests were presented with a 3D-animated video showcasing Turkmenistan’s history, natural beauty, and national treasures. The second floor of the pavilion featured exhibitions about the city of Arkadag as well as various ministries and sectors of Turkmenistan. On the third floor, visitors were treated to traditional Turkmen cuisine. The event also highlighted the country’s national culture, customs, and economic achievements since gaining independence.
Participation in EXPO – 2025 offers Turkmenistan a valuable opportunity to demonstrate its progress on the global stage, build new business partnerships, and contribute to international cooperation and sustainable development.
