In a significant development for Turkmenistan, a new water treatment plant with a capacity of 25,000 cubic meters per day was inaugurated in the Turkmenkalinsky etrap of Mary velayat. The event, held just ahead of the New Year’s holiday, marks a milestone in improving the quality of life for residents in the region.
The initiative aligns with the reform policies championed by Hero Arkadag and carried forward under President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s leadership. Providing clean drinking water remains a priority in the country’s comprehensive efforts to modernize its infrastructure and enhance public welfare.
The opening ceremony was attended by deputies of the Mejlis, members of local halk maslahaty councils, government representatives, and respected community elders. Guests were treated to vibrant musical performances by regional creative ensembles, adding a celebratory atmosphere to the event.
During the ceremony, speakers praised the efforts of President Berdimuhamedov and Hero Arkadag, expressing heartfelt gratitude for their commitment to the prosperity of the nation.
Spanning eight hectares, the facility is equipped with cutting-edge technology from leading global manufacturers. Its advanced systems, including administrative buildings, sewage treatment plants, and filtration pools, ensure a steady supply of clean drinking water to the population.
This new facility is a testament to the ongoing reforms driving Turkmenistan’s progressive development. Its launch also serves as a fitting highlight for the year dedicated to “The Fount of Reason of Mahtumkuli Fragi,” reflecting the nation’s vision for a prosperous and modern future.
