Turkmenistan and Malaysia Strengthen Cybersecurity Collaboration

On October 22, 2024, a significant meeting took place between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Malaysia, M. Mashalov, and the Chief Executive Officer of CyberSecurity Malaysia, Dato’ Dr. Haji Amirudin Bin Abdul Wahab.

During the discussions, Ambassador Mashalov highlighted the activities of Turkmenistan’s State Group for Ensuring Cybersecurity, stressing the value of Malaysia’s experience in this critical area. He called for deeper cooperation between the two nations in cybersecurity.

The Malaysian side acknowledged the increasing importance of cybersecurity on a global scale and welcomed the opportunity to collaborate further. Both parties discussed plans for conducting specialized training seminars through the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP) in Cybersecurity, as well as drafting agreements to strengthen mutual understanding.

The meeting concluded with both sides expressing readiness for continued collaboration and gratitude for the productive and open dialogue.
