– Neutrality is a value that helps us move forward with confident steps, glorifies the principles of humanity and peace of our people, spreads the name and glory of our powerful state, our united nation, its glory throughout the world.
As you know, in December 1995 one of the proud events of the fate of the Turkmen people took place. In other words, in accordance with the resolution of the UN General Assembly, Turkmenistan received the status of neutrality from 185 countries of the world. The Day of Neutrality is an event inscribed in golden letters in the history of the entire Turkmen people. Several years later, on June 3, 2015, 193 UN member states awarded our country a level of permanent neutrality for the second time. Our dear country, showing some degree of neutrality, has made progress in the pace of development. In foreign policy, positive relations have been achieved in friendly relations with neighboring countries.
In the eyes of the world community, Turkmenistan is considered a place of friendship and brotherhood. The fact that friendly relations with neighboring countries are strengthening every year is also a prime example of this. Over the years of neutrality, our country has changed beyond recognition, a number of programs have been implemented. Decent results have been achieved in all spheres, including science, education, health care, economy, culture and agriculture. The motto of our Hero Arkadag “State – for the people” has become the main principle of our state.
For every citizen of Turkmenistan, neutrality has become one of the most significant events in the history of the Turkmen state. The level of neutrality paved the way for our people a glorious and clear path to victory. On the basis of the wise initiatives of our Hero Arkadag, the importance of the neutrality of our state is increasing and the scale of cooperation in international relations is expanding. This is clearly evidenced by the fact that our country has diplomatic relations with more than 140 countries of the world, as well as members of about 50 prestigious international organizations and conventions. The UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia was opened.
All this is clear evidence that the policy of neutrality based on the principles of humanity, which promotes peace in our country under the wise leadership of our Hero Arkadag, is of great regional importance and is welcomed throughout the world.
Every year the united Turkmen people celebrate the Day of Neutrality with great joy. This year, our people are also celebrating the 26th anniversary of our neutrality with great labor success. We would like to thank our esteemed President for his great reforms aimed at the prosperity and development of our country. We wish long live, strong health of our Hero Arkadag!
