On June 24, 2023 in Ashgabat at the National Music and Drama Theater named after. Magtymguly hosted the opening ceremony of the Week of Culture of the Turkic States. It was attended by leaders and workers of the cultural sector of the country, representatives of national and international media, the General Secretary of TURKSOY, masters of culture and art from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Turkey.
The Week of Culture of the Turkic States, held in Ashgabat from June 24 to 29 in honor of the 30th anniversary of the creation of TURKSOY, will make a great contribution to the development and strengthening of international cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian system. This is another proof that the cultural diplomacy of Turkmenistan plays an important role in promoting effective international relations.
The opening ceremony was especially memorable. First of all, congratulations of the esteemed President of our country to the participants of the opening ceremony of the Week of Culture of the Turkic States were listened with great enthusiasm. The opening ceremony of the international event continued with a joint concert of creative teams from Turkic countries. Songs and dances based on national motives brought spiritual pleasure to the participants of the event.
The song “Kushtepdi” performed by the folklore and dance groups “Dehistan” and “Turkish” countries was especially memorable. The concert ended with the song “Turkmenistan – the land of friendship” performed by the participants. This was another clear sign of the growing friendship between our countries. The program of the Week of Turkic State Culture includes large and rich events, which continues successfully.
