Within the framework of the 79th session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), which is being held in Bangkok, the Kingdom of Thailand, a side event on the impact of the “Aral Sea” on Turkmenistan was held. Armida Salsiah Alisjahbana, Deputy Secretary of the UN, Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for the Asia-Pacific Region, representatives of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in UNESCAP, leading experts of the commission took part in the event.
