Cybersecurity Audit Workshop Held at the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan

The Faculty of Digital Technologies and Cybersecurity at the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan organized a methodological workshop entitled “Cybersecurity Audit.” The event was held as part of the implementation plan for Sustainable Development Goal 11 – “Sustainable Cities and Communities.”

The workshop brought together faculty members and students specializing in digital technologies and cybersecurity. During the event, lecturers from the Department of Information Technologies delivered presentations highlighting the importance of cybersecurity audits in today’s digital environment, their key objectives, and their practical applications.

The discussions focused on assessing the security of information systems, computer networks, servers, and software, as well as identifying potential vulnerabilities and preventing cyber threats. Particular attention was given to the role of preventive security measures, modern technologies, and international best practices in ensuring information security.

Participants emphasized that expanding theoretical knowledge and strengthening practical skills in cybersecurity are essential for preparing highly qualified specialists in the field. The workshop served as another important educational initiative aimed at enhancing students’ professional competencies, deepening their understanding of information security, and developing the practical skills required to address cybersecurity challenges in the modern digital era.
