Turkmen students participated in F.F. Martens International Law Competition

From April 21–25, 2025, students from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan took part in the prestigious F.F. Martens Competition on International Humanitarian Law in the Moscow region.


The event gathered teams from 11 countries, including Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and others. Participants were evaluated on their knowledge of international humanitarian and public international law, as well as their ability to argue and defend legal positions.


The Turkmen team—Intizar Tagannyyazova, Begmuhammet Atavev, and Yusup Karatayev—guided by senior lecturer Durli Ballyeva, successfully advanced through the qualifying round. Throughout the week, students engaged in complex legal simulations judged by international experts and law scholars.


The team delivered one of the top performances, earning praise from the jury. Their success highlights the strength of legal education in Turkmenistan and marks another achievement on the international stage.
