The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change was signed in June 1992 at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro to prevent dangerous anthropogenic interference with the climate system. The Conference of the Parties has been held annually since 1995. The main objective of this global summit is to assess progress in combating climate change worldwide. From 2011 to 2015, discussions centered around a pivotal international agreement in the fight against climate change, known as the Paris Agreement, which was adopted in France in 2015. To date, 195 countries, including Turkmenistan, have joined this agreement.
