Turkmenistan and Liechtenstein Establish Diplomatic Relations

On November 1, 2024, a signing ceremony for a Joint Communiqué establishing diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Principality of Liechtenstein was held at the Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the United Nations in New York. About this report Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

Prior to the ceremony, Turkmenistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Aksoltan Atayeva, and Liechtenstein’s Permanent Representative, Christian Wenaweser, engaged in discussions. They reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing friendly ties and advancing bilateral political, economic, and humanitarian cooperation.

Both representatives highlighted the significance of expanding collaboration within international organizations, particularly within the UN framework. They also addressed issues on the UN agenda relevant to both countries, focusing on peace and trust, preventive diplomacy, international sports relations, and sustainable development initiatives.
