Turkmen-American Business Forum Held in Ashgabat

On December 16, 2024, the Turkmen-American Business Forum was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen delegation was led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Nokerguly Atagulyyev, while the U.S. side was represented by Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-US Business Council.

The forum included representatives from several American companies, such as Case New Holland, Boeing, and John Deere. The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and setting plans for the future. Turkmen officials engaged with U.S. business leaders to explore potential joint ventures.

The importance of the Turkmenistan-US Business Council in strengthening mutually beneficial relations was highlighted. The effectiveness of regular meetings, forums, and exhibitions organized by the Council with Turkmen partners was also noted.

The parties identified trade and investment in machinery for industry, agriculture, and water management as key areas of focus. They also explored opportunities for collaboration in sectors like energy, transportation, construction, innovation, healthcare, and environmental sustainability.

American companies expressed a strong desire to further deepen their ties with Turkmenistan, with an emphasis on boosting trade and advancing collaboration in high technology.
