The national mathematics team of Turkmenistan, consisting of schoolchildren, took part in the 64th International Mathematical Olympiad held in Chiba, Japan.

One of the members of the national team, Selim Khalykov won a bronze medal, as well as, Hamza Allaberdiyev, Rahym Agamyradov, Davut Muhammetgurbanov and Batyr Ovezmyradov received honourable mentions. And also, Babanazar Jumadurdiev, a member of the team, successfully performed in this competition.

Our national team was led by Arslan Hojiyev, a mathematics teacher at the specialized comprehensive boarding school named after Saparmyrat Turkmenbashi, and Palwan Agamyradov, a mathematics teacher at the “Gujurly Education Center”.
By the way, more than 600 schoolchildren from 112 countries participated in the 64th International Mathematical Olympiad.
