Awards were presented in celebration of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi

Recently, according to documents signed by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, awarding ceremonies were held for the jubilee medal of Turkmenistan “Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna” and the commemorative signs “Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna.” These awards recognized particularly distinguished citizens from various sectors of the country who have significantly contributed to studying and promoting the creative heritage of the classical poet Magtymguly Fragi worldwide. They also acknowledged efforts in educating the younger generation about patriotism and respect for our national values, traditions, and customs.

The ceremonies, which took place across all sectors, were attended by the Chairman of the Mejlis and Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers. They warmly congratulated everyone present on the International Day of Neutrality, wishing them continued success in their work for the happiness of the people and the prosperity of the Fatherland.

Among those awarded were members of the Mejlis, diplomats representing the state abroad, creative figures, workers from culture and art, mass media, education, science, healthcare, sports, as well as representatives from youth and public organizations, trade, banking and economics, energy, construction and industry, agriculture, transportation, and communication. Employees of military and law enforcement agencies were also recognized.

These events demonstrate the special respect in our country for those who devote their experience, knowledge, and talent to serving the Motherland, serving as role models for the younger generation. The award recipients accepted their well-deserved honors with pride. In their speeches, they expressed sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for recognizing their contributions to the welfare of the people and the enhancement of the Motherland’s stature. They noted that these awards belong not just to them but to all compatriots who are working to create a happy present and bright future.

While addressing their best wishes to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, the speakers assured that they would continue to apply their efforts and expertise to implement the large-scale reforms initiated by Hero Arkadag and now successfully carried on by the current head of state. These reforms aim to strengthen the unity and cohesion of the people and ensure stability and prosperity for their beloved Motherland.

It is also important to note that the jubilee medal “Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna” and the commemorative badges “Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna” were awarded to foreign citizens for their special merits in studying, preserving, promoting, and passing on the creative heritage of the classic poet of Turkmen literature. These awards recognized efforts in strengthening friendship and cooperation between peoples, developing cultural ties between Turkmenistan and other countries, as well as international organizations, on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi’s birth. For the awardees, this was an unforgettable event, especially on the eve of International Neutrality Day.

Music and songs filled the ceremonies, and the speeches from members of the artistic community poetically expressed the people’s pride in the literary legacy of the great Magtymguly Fragi and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. Award ceremonies were also held today in the velayats across the country.
