The Internet Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics has concluded in Turkmenistan

The III Open International Internet Olympiad in the discipline of Theoretical Mechanics took place at the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan. Students from 21 universities in Turkmenistan and 66 higher educational institutions from other countries participated in the Olympiad. The competition, held from May 6 to 11, included both individual and team events. Each university could have up to 20 students participating in individual competitions and one or two teams with a maximum of five students each in the team competitions.

The official languages of the III Open International Internet Olympiad were Turkmen, Russian, and English. The participation of students from 87 universities across 16 countries highlights the international significance of the Olympiad, aiming to foster friendly relations and the exchange of scientific information among students.

The individual competitions began on May 6, 2024, with participants solving eight problems in Theoretical Mechanics, including two in Statics, two in Kinematics, and four in Dynamics. Team competitions started on May 7, 2024, with participants solving five problems across various sections of theoretical mechanics. The Olympiad concluded on May 11, with the announcement of the winners and recognition of students who excelled in their knowledge of theoretical mechanics.

At the III Open International Internet Olympiad in Theoretical Mechanics, students from Turkmenistan, the People’s Republic of China, and the Russian Federation won prizes in both individual and team competitions.

During the closing ceremony, winners received diplomas and valuable gifts.
