Currently, permanent neutral Turkmenistan improves peaceful and friendship relations with the countries of the world. The People’s Republic of China is one of the main partners of our country in this field, especially in the fields of fuel and energy, transport and communication, trade and economy. Turkmenistan actively conducts cooperation with the China on a bilateral and multilateral basis.
On 19th May 2023 year, our esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the first “Central Asia-China” summit held in Xian, city of China. The summit was an important step in the development of Turkmenistan’s relations with the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan and the Republic of Uzbekistan. Speaking at the summit, our esteemed President put forward a number of proposals for the development of mutual relations. At the end of his speech, the President of Turkmenistan proposed to hold the Central Asian and Chinese Youth Forum in the city of Mary, Turkmenistan.
Currently, our state has active relations with the People’s Republic of China in the fields of economy, science and education, health and culture. A large amount of Turkmen natural gas is exported to Chinese provinces through the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline, which was opened in 2009. Also, the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries has gained a wide scope.
