“IMF” has made a virtual visit to Turkmenistan

An online meeting was held on January 20 with representatives of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as part of a virtual visit by the Fund’s staff to Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, issues such as macroeconomic development of some sectors of our country, as well as some sectors of our national economy, which had a positive impact on GDP growth, were discussed.

Despite the adverse effects of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), which has transformed the economies of all countries of the world, the national economy of Turkmenistan is still performing, which allows it to maintain a high GDP growth rate compared to other countries.

Regular analysis of the International Monetary Fund confirms that as a result of the discerning and prudent policy of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, a sovereign Turkmenistan is successfully performing large-scale socio-economic development projects in the chosen direction, despite the challenges facing the world.
