142 People Granted Residence Permits in Turkmenistan

On September 25, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital communication, during which several state-related issues were discussed.

At the session, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs R. Meredov presented a report on the issuance of residence permits in Turkmenistan. It was emphasized that Independent and Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan is recognized worldwide as a land of peace, friendship, and harmony. In line with the traditions of goodwill and humanism inherited from the ancestors, 5,152 foreign nationals and stateless persons have so far been granted the right to reside in the country.

As part of the consistent implementation of the humanitarian policy pursued by the President of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the competent state authorities, reviewed individual applications and facilitated the granting of residence permits to 142 people. These individuals represent the citizens of 7 countries and 15 nationalities.

After hearing the report, the President highlighted the effective measures undertaken to protect human rights and freedoms and signed a Resolution granting residence permits to 142 individuals.
