Joyful Childhood”: Summer Camp Fosters Children’s Love for Nature

The public organization Ecology Movement of Turkmenistan, together with the Trade Union Council of Employees of Turkmenistan’s Oil and Gas Complex, organized a cultural event titled “Joyful Childhood.”

The event took place at the Nebitçi Children’s Health and Recreation Center located in Gökdere. A team from the Çeşme Children’s Recreation Center won first place in the competitions held during the program. The main goal was to enrich the spiritual world of children during the summer holidays, nurture their love for nature, and develop their mindfulness and creativity.

Throughout the event, children were divided into groups to compete in games designed to improve memory, attention, creativity, and environmental awareness. Activities ranged from colorful ball memory games to familiarization with animal models and crafting paper flowers — encouraging children to express the living beauty of nature with their own hands.

The cultural department of the Ecology Movement also added a special touch to the day with musical performances. At the end of the contests, the winning teams received commemorative gifts.

This initiative not only strengthened the children’s love for nature but also promoted teamwork, friendship, and creativity among them.

The Ecology Movement of Turkmenistan is a public organization established to protect the country’s natural resources, keep the environment clean, and raise ecological awareness among the population. The organization carries out outreach work on environmental issues, cultivates respect for nature among the younger generation, and promotes public interest in ecology through various activities, lessons, and projects.
