A Ceremonial Parade Held in Honor of the 33rd Anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence

Today, our beloved Homeland, Turkmenistan, is celebrating the 33rd anniversary of its sacred Independence. A festive parade has started on the square in front of the State Tribune.

Early in the morning, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov participated in the flower-laying ceremony at the Independence Monument. Members of the Government, representatives of the Mejlis, leaders of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and sectoral management bodies, heads of public organizations, the mayors of the regions and the city of Ashgabat, heads of diplomatic missions working in our country, and foreign guests attended the ceremony.

On the eve of the celebration, award ceremonies were held in the capital in honor of the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence, where distinguished employees of enterprises, organizations, and institutions were honored. According to decrees signed by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a group of the country’s citizens was awarded the Orders, Medals, and Honorary Titles of Turkmenistan for their outstanding service to the nation and exemplary conduct in life.

The festive parade marking the 33rd anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence was broadcast live to the public.
