According to the results of the first half of 2021, an increase in the number of entrepreneurs is observed in Turkmenistan. Thus, the number of individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activity increased by 8.5% over this period, registered with state tax authorities. This information was published by the Turkmen Ministry of Finance.
At the end of 2020, there were 57.422 thousand individual entrepreneurs in Turkmenistan. At the beginning of June this year, their number increased to 62.332 thousand.
The increase in the number of individuals engaged in individual entrepreneurial activities indicates an increase in the material wealth of the Turkmen people and the emergence of new opportunities in the state for organizing their own business. To this end, Turkmenistan is carrying out activities aimed at improving the taxation system, simplifying registration procedures and issuing licenses to those wishing to engage in entrepreneurship.
Among the priority tasks of a number of government programs is improving the business climate in the country and drawing the attention of stakeholders to the opportunities available to the private sector. All this helps the national economy to actively follow the path of diversification and innovative development.
