Turkmen-Saudi economic cooperation

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov asked for a meeting to be held on the computer between the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, who is in charge of the fuel and energy complex, B. Amanov and Khalid Al-Falih, the Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia, met to talk about how to make their countries’ relationship even better.

During the meeting, they talked about the work that was done to put the agreements into action after the President of Turkmenistan visited Saudi Arabia in July for a summit with other leaders. They also signed some agreements.

The Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia said he was chosen to lead the Turkmen-Saudi Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

The Turkmen side talked about how President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov want to work closely with Saudi Arabia and other nearby countries to improve their trading and economic connections. They want to focus on getting things done from the 7th meeting of the joint Intergovernmental Turkmen-Saudi Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, which is an important way to make their relationship stronger.

The Saudi side mentioned that they are planning to hold an international economic forum in December in Saudi Arabia. They invited the Turkmen side to attend as a special guest and to also have the next government meeting at the end of the forum. According to the report, a group from Saudi Arabia is going to visit Turkmenistan soon to talk about these matters.

Also, during a meeting using the internet, the Saudi Development Fund and Turkmenistan discussed how to work together better and invest money in different projects.
