30th Anniversary of the Currency, Manat

As we know, The manat became Turkmenistan’s official money on November 1, 1993. Coins and paper money in manat were used starting from January 1, 2009.

Turkmenistan is celebrating 30 years since they started using their own money called the manat. To mark this important occasion, the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, warmly praised the workers in the banking industry. This was reported by the official media on Wednesday.

The national manat that is now being used as money has brought good chances for the economy to grow smoothly, for money to flow steadily, and for the government’s monetary plans to work well. This policy aims to create good economic conditions for stable money flow, economic growth, higher living standards, improved competitiveness of our economy, and closer integration of our banking system with the global financial market. The President of Turkmenistan says that the banking system is very important for the country’s economy. They congratulate the banking system for helping achieve the country’s goals.
