On September 21st, 2023 year, a meeting was held between the representatives of the Islamic Development Bank and the Port of Singapore and the Turkmen side at the “Turkmendenizderyayollary” agency. There were a number of discussions between the representatives in the fields of trade and economy, transport and communication.
As it is known, there was an agreement between Turkmenistan and the IDB on the construction of the ferry, and at the same meeting there were also consultations on the development of the planned Turkmenbashi transport system and the implementation of new projects.
Also, within the framework of the meeting, the representatives of the Port of Singapore spoke, and they expressed the development, opportunities and competitiveness of the Port of Turkmenbashi. To carry out these tasks, a special Turkmen team was formed and active communication was established with the port of Singapore.
