Medical Conference of Non-Aligned Movement

Ashgabat will host a scientific conference of medical and sanitary institutions of the countries participating in the Non-Aligned movement in 2023. The participants of this large-scale event will be experts, scientists, practicing doctors. This was reported by the newspaper “Neutral Turkmenistan”.

The Union of Countries The Non-Aligned Movement was founded in 1961, it unites states that do not participate in military-political blocs and peacefully coexist on the principles of independence and equality. Today, the Non-Aligned Movement includes 120 states.

Azerbaijan and Fiji were the last to join the Movement. In 1961, observer status was introduced, in 1970 – guest status, which makes it possible to attend all open events of the Non-Aligned Movement. To date, the number of NAM observers is 18 countries and 11 organizations.
