A Turkmen-Russian business forum was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ashgabat on Thursday and Saturday. In the framework of the forum, the opening ceremony of the trade and exhibition space “House of Trade of Russia” took place. The main purpose of this forum is to develop trade and industrial cooperation between business groups and organizations of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, and industry meetings of entrepreneurs were held within the framework of the forum with the participation of businessmen of the two countries. In addition, the forum was devoted to cooperation in transport and logistics, industry, education, and other areas between the companies of the two countries.
Today, the Russian Federation is considered the main strategic partner of Turkmenistan. On January 19-20, the Russian delegation led by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin came to our capital to participate in the Turkmen-Russian business conference. M. Mishustin met with the President of Turkmenistan during the visit. During the bilateral talks, the parties discussed important issues of Turkmen-Russian strategic cooperation, in particular, issues of deepening cooperation in trade, economic, transport, industry, energy, cultural and humanitarian spheres. In his speech during the forum, M. Mishustin said that the forum will be important for the businessmen of the two countries, and according to the results of 2022, the trade turnover between the countries has reached 1 billion US dollars. It was emphasized that this forum is clear proof of the strengthening of trade, economic and industrial cooperation between the business circles of the two countries.
