Yazdursun Gurbannazarova was elected Ombudsperson of Turkmenistan

According to the informational program “Vatan” of the Turkmen television, Yazdursun Gurbannazarova was elected Commissioner for Human rights (Ombudsman) in Turkmenistan in the part of the Mejlis of Milli Gengesh.

In accordance with the Law “About the Ombudsman”, 3 candidates were submitted for consideration by deputies. The participants of session voted. The Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh adopted the Resolution “About the election of the Ombudsman”.

It is necessary to remind, that Yazdursun Gurbannazarova was elected the first Ombudsperson of Turkmenistan in March 2017. According to the country’s legislation, she held the post for 5 years.
