Turkmenistan’s Health Path: A National Symbol of Wellness and Resilience

The Saglyk Ýoly, established at the base of the majestic Köpetdag Mountains, stands as a cornerstone of Turkmenistan’s commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and physical well-being. With a total length of 36 kilometers and an elevation of 1,000 meters above sea level at its highest point, this scenic trail has grown into a beloved destination for fitness enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Initially built under the guidance of esteemed national leader Gahryman Arkadag, the path embodies the government’s dedication to public health and environmental sustainability.

The picturesque Saglyk Ýoly, with its fresh mountain air and lush forests, provides a perfect setting for exercise and relaxation throughout the year. As part of national efforts to enhance ecological preservation, thousands of trees are planted annually across the region, enriching the landscape and further promoting the well-being of all who visit. Notably, the monumental statue of Magtymguly Pyragy—a symbol of the nation’s rich cultural heritage—proudly overlooks the pathway.

This November, the nation is invited to join in a collective walk along the Saglyk Ýoly as proposed by President Arkadagly Gahryman Serdar at a recent Cabinet meeting. This event symbolizes a unified commitment to physical and mental well-being, inspiring a culture of active, healthy living that is echoed across Turkmenistan.
