Presentation of a collection of poems by Magtymguly Fragi translated into Kyrgyz

On October 17, 2024, the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a presentation of a collection of poems by the great poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi, translated into the Kyrgyz language. As part of the event, an exhibition of works of fine and decorative arts of Central Asia, as well as books about the life and work of Magtymguly Fragi, was organized. This exhibition, reflecting the cultural heritage of fraternal peoples, made a significant impression on the participants.

Azizbek Madmarov, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkmenistan, Begench Matliev, Vice-Rector of the Institute of International Relations, Tazegul Hapysova, Chief Researcher of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, and Amangeldi Orazov, Senior Lecturer of the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering, spoke at the ceremony. The Minister of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic Altynbek Maksutov, Zainidin Kurmanov, Vice-Rector of the Diplomatic Academy, Abdyldajan Akmataliev, Director of the Institute of Language and Literature, and composer Tugolbay Kazakov delivered their speeches via video link. They emphasized the importance of translating Magtymguly Fragi’s poems into the Kyrgyz language, which became an important step in strengthening cultural ties between peoples.

The event confirmed that thanks to the efforts of the national leaders of Turkmenistan, the works of Magtymguly Fragi are gaining universal value.
