The President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, in order to organize the opening of Arkadag city, which was built according to the “smart” city concept by using advanced new technologies. According to the document, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Arkadag City Administration, the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, the Ministry of Culture, and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs were instructed to ensure a high-level and organized opening of the city of Arkadag on June 29, 2023.
Relevant ministries, departmental administrations were obliged to provide all assistance to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Arkadag City Administration, Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, Ministry of Culture and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in preparing for the opening ceremony and conducting it at a high level.
The Ministry of Culture, the State Committee for Television, Radio and Cinematography, and the State News Agency were instructed to hold the opening ceremony and to provide high-level media coverage of the activities in Turkmenistan related to the “smart” city concept.
