We conducted a public survey about New Year celebration at Berkarar Mall located in Ashgabat.
We asked opinion of youth about celebrations, customs, expectations, likes and dislike about New Year .
Most of those participated in the public opinion survey expressed that 2019 was a great year. Among those whom we met there were who started higher education, participated in social and sportive competitions, got married.
Most of our interviewees expressed that they like celebrating and exchanging presents in New Year. But we also got an opinion that New Year celebration should be for kids, and that that it doesn’t call any excitement in him.
In 2020 year, number of the youth we interviewed are finishing the secondary school, so they expect to get to the best universities. As we mentioned there was one who got married in 2019, and now surely expecting a baby in 2020. That’s the main event in the life of that young man and his new family.
In our interview there was one person from expatriate family. And however, we couldn’t convince any of the ladies coming by. Because they were mainly too busy shopping for the New Year.
