Consul of Turkmenistan Muhammetnur Ovezov visited the city of Atyrau by invitation and met with Akim of Atyrau region Shapkenov Serik Zhambylovich, reported by the official website of the Turkmenistan Consulate in Aktau.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on ways to strengthen bilateral trade and economic cooperation. Akim of Atyrau region noted the importance of new agreements between the heads of the two fraternal states in the development of further cooperation, which gives a powerful impetus to the development of partnership in the regions.
During the conversation, priority attention was paid to expanding cooperation, including increasing mutual trade, implementing joint projects, cooperation in the field of transit and logistics, the chemical industry and agriculture.
Consul M. Ovezov emphasized the existence of great potential for building up cooperation with the Atyrau region, and also noted that today the two countries have extensive experience in successful cooperation in various areas of the economy, based on good neighborliness and mutual trust.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that mutually beneficial cooperation would further strengthen Kazakh-Turkmen relations.
