According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in USA, Tesla is recalling over 475,000 of its Model 3 and Model S electric cars due to rearview camera and trunk issues that increase the risk of a crash.
Model years affected by the recall range from 2014 to 2021, with a total number of recalled vehicles nearly equaling the half-million Tesla vehicles delivered last year.
Tesla shares fell as much as 3% in the morning, but recovered and were last trading at $1,088.76, slightly higher. While investigating the electric vehicle manufacturer’s driver assistant system and other issues, the federal regulator has been discussing another camera issue with the automaker.
