In an apartment located in the 10th micro-district of Ashgabat has occurred a gas blast. As reported by Main Civil Defense and Rescue Directorate of Turkmenistan, incidence happened on 16th of June around 7:20, probably caused either by gas leakage or misusage of gas equipment.
No victims or heavy damages in the incidence. Seven of the residents received burns, injuries of various levels. All are receiving relevant medical assistance.
Authorities are continuing rescue and investigation work at the site.
Municipality of Ashgabat shared with media information that the building is 4-storied with 52 apartments, and was commissioned in 1990.
