A constructive dialogue on the agricultural prospects of CIS countries took place in Ashgabat

The capital of Turkmenistan recently hosted the regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Coordinating Council on Seed Production of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). This traditional event brought together leading agricultural experts from all CIS countries to discuss important issues in the development of the agro-industrial complex.

The meeting focused on methods of collecting, storing, and processing grain crops. Given the significance of grain as a staple food product and raw material for various industries, participants explored ways to optimize these processes, as well as methods to improve grain quality and its competitiveness in the global market. Agriculture remains one of the key sectors of the CIS economies.

It is important to note that the regular meetings of the CIS Intergovernmental Coordinating Council on Seed Production play a vital role in strengthening cooperation in the agricultural sector among Commonwealth countries. Sharing expertise, implementing joint projects, and coordinating actions help to improve agricultural efficiency in the region and ensure the population is provided with high-quality food products.

As a result of the meeting, participants adopted several recommendations aimed at furthering cooperation in seed production and bolstering the food security of CIS countries.
