Climate eco-festival was held in Ashgabat

On Sunday, the second climate eco-festival was held with the slogan “Let’s save the Earth together ” at the Turkmen-Turkish School in Ashgabat.

The festival was organized by Turkey and Great Britain’s diplomatic missions in Turkmenistan. Its goal was to get young people interested in taking care of and using natural resources wisely, as well as protecting the environment. According to the magazine “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”, visitors could learn about how renewable energy sources work in special interactive areas. For the young people at the event, there were fights between robots in a special area.

The people at the festival were given information about how to put their trash in the correct bins. A good way of sorting materials like plastic, paper, glass, and metals can increase the likelihood of being able to recycle them. This means we won’t have to spend money on getting them out of the trash.

As part of the festival, local artists and creators had a show and sale of souvenirs made from materials that were used before. Today, many people like to use reusable eco-friendly bags instead of plastic bags.
