At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed to extinguish a gas crater that had been burning for more than 50 years and was called the “Glow of the Karakum Desert”. The President noted that for many years there had been a huge amount of gas burning and environmental damage.The Turkmen leader also appointed Shahim Abdyrahmanova, Deputy Prime Minister, as the head of the Cabinet.It should be noted that this crater has a diameter of 60 meters and a depth of 20 meters.
