A new natural gas well has been commissioned in the Hazarly field near the Bowrideşik gas deposit in Lebap province. According to the electronic publication of Turkmenistan’s oil and gas sector, the well has begun producing commercially viable gas flows.
The “Hazarly–3” well, drilled by the Marynebitgazgözleg expedition of the Turkmengeology State Corporation, is capable of producing up to 120,000 cubic meters of natural gas per day. It has become the first well in the Hazarly field to confirm industrial-scale gas reserves.
Based on the results of the first eleven months of the year, the Lebapgazçykaryş directorate exceeded its gas production plan by more than 101 percent. Out of the planned annual target of 9.3 billion cubic meters, over 8.5 billion cubic meters of gas were produced from January to November.
During the reporting period, gas exports also surpassed expectations: instead of the planned 3.37 billion cubic meters, more than 4.75 billion cubic meters of natural gas were delivered abroad. Production of gas condensate likewise exceeded planned figures.
Additionally, another new gas well, “Hazarly–2,” was put into operation in December 2025.
