An international forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality, and the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality was held in the capital. High-level delegations from foreign countries and international and regional organizations participated in the event.
Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, recognized three times by UN General Assembly resolutions, forms the foundation of the country’s foreign policy and reflects its commitment to peace, trust, and dialogue. Positive neutrality was highlighted as an effective tool for preventing conflicts and strengthening regional and global stability.
Economic diplomacy and humanitarian cooperation were key topics of discussion. Participants emphasized Turkmenistan’s initiatives aimed at enhancing international energy security, developing multimodal transport corridors, and expanding cooperation with international organizations in humanitarian affairs.
With the participation of the President of Turkmenistan, the forum opened with a plenary session titled “Peace and Trust: Unity of Goals for a Sustainable Future.” The President of Turkmenistan stressed that the forum demonstrates Turkmenistan’s unwavering dedication to peace, good-neighborliness, and mutually beneficial international cooperation.
