On October 5, 2025, a delegation from Turkmenistan, led by G. Mezilov, Rector of the Oguz han Engineering and Technology University, participated in the 22nd annual session of the forum titled “The Role of Science and Technology in Society (STS)”, held in Kyoto, Japan. The participation was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The event featured an official opening ceremony, introductory remarks, a plenary session, and various thematic discussions. Japan’s Emperor Naruhito and high-ranking representatives from numerous countries around the world were present at the forum’s opening.
During the event, the Turkmen delegation engaged in meetings and discussions focused on enhancing international cooperation in science, technology, innovation, and education.
